This former movie house, which opened near the turn of the 20th century as the Knights of Pythias Temple, was converted into office space in the late-1990’s.

Here is a picture of the Ozark Theater Building.
A sad view of the Ozark Theater from 1987 in Fayetteville.
1985 photo of the Ozark Theatre. The auditorium portion of the theatre has been demolished, just the front of the building exists today.

I watched many movies in the Ozark Theater as a young boy in the early ‘70s. I remember a lot of Disney films, a Planet of the Apes marathon called “Go Ape!” and stuff like The Poseiden Adventure. I had no idea that it had been around as long as it had.
Does anyone have any info on where to find more history and photos of it?
From the looks of the theatre building today they have completely redone the front of the building, especially the first floor level. If you look at the side and the back of the building you can see that the auditorium portion has been demolished.
The Ozark was part of the Malco Theaters lineup in this March 1971 ad in the Northwest Arkansas Times:

Fido42, I also saw the Planet of the Apes marathon! Many high school students went and passed around LSD and marijuana…
