Part of the Proctor and Marsh chain, the Roxy Theatre opened in 1948, and closed in 1969. It then sat empty until the early-1990’s when it was purchased by the Muskogee Little Theatre to use for plays, concerts, etc.

There was a photo of the recently opened Roxy in Boxoffice, April 1948:

Cosmic, do you know if the Roxy was reopened as a live venue as mentioned in the Roadside Oklahoma link? I do know that they still need to correct the spelling in the header to Okmulgee Ave. in order for it to map properly.
Chuck 1231, I can confirm that the Roxy is indeed a live venue. I attended a screening during the April 2009 Bare Bones Film Festival at the Roxy, and I sold a photo of the theater for use in promoting their summer 2010 live music lineup.
From 2010 a photo of the Roxy Theatre Here and Here in Muskogee.
Don, those photos confirm that the thatre is alive and well. Tell Billy thanks for all his great photos.
Who would a person contact about renting the Roxy Theatre?
I’m thinking the theater is managed by a non-profit that might be connected with the City of Muskogee – perhaps a call to City Hall might be the best place to start.
Very nice looking theatre, thanks for the photos.
The Cinema Section of Roadside Oklahome is closed, they no longer have theatre photos according to the site. Go to their home page for further details.
