Interesting design – a long, narrow and low building – obviously all seating on one level – looks like it could have been a large ballroom originally – there are filled-in windows on the side.

Closed in 1961. Originally part of the Saenger Amusement Co. and later operated by United Theatres until its closing in 1961.

The Metropolitan Tabernacle Church is currently located in the former Folly Theater. This is a recent photo of the Church:

The 1945 Film Daily Yearbook shows the Folly seating 1830.
