What was once the cira-1930s Benson Theater on Fourth Street is now an antiques store. The theater had been destroyed by a blaze, and the store built in the shell of the former movie house.

The Benson Theater is listed in 1955 with 435 seats.

The Benson was owned by Long Theatre when it closed in the late-1960’s.

There was also a Benson Drive-In that was owned by Long Theatres, does anyone have information on the drive-in?
