Newspaper listings from July 10th, 1992 onwards says Discount cinemas. Willing to bet the sign was never changed.

Based on the grand opening ad, this has always been a dollar cinema, showing discount movies.

This was renamed Discount Cinemas on July 10th, 1992.

If I’m not mistaken, this theatre opened as a discount theatre.

This opened in 1987. It is one of the first theatres to be built by Cinemark.
