The Rosemead 4 was typical of early AMC multiplex theatres. The auditoriums were small, narrow, without stadium seating, the decor was very plain, and the complex was located in an outbuilding of a large shopping center. There was plenty of free parking.
It opened February 10, 1971, and was closed due to severe damage sustained in the Whittier Narrows earthquake of 1986. The theater was replaced by new retail space.
