The Arcade Theatre opened sometime in the 1920’s and was operated by the Schine’s circuit by 1941. It was but one of several theatres in Cambridge, Maryland.
It closed in the late-1950’s but was remodeled and reopened in the early-1960’s as the Dorset Theatre. It remained open until the early-1970’s.
After its final closing as a theatre, it was gutted and is now a drug store and apartments.

This theater did have seats. The Arcade is listed in 1955 with 933 seats.
