The Argonne Theatre opened in the early 1920’s seating almost 1000. The building was originally colonial in style with red brick and white granite trim. It had a large V shaped marquee when it was remodeled and renamed the Belair. The name Belair stretched across the front of the marquee. During another remodel the upper portion of the front facade was plastered over in a stucco style to give it a more art deco modern look.
The Belair closed in the 1970’s. The exterior of the building has been restored to its original colonial style and the red brick and granite trim is now back in place. It has now become office space.
