The theater was run by Nicholas George, as was just about every theater in the area “downriver” from Detroit it seems. The Fort George had an intial capacity of 1000 cars; after a renovation in 1977, it had a capacity of 1300 cars. When the screen was damaged by high winds, it was torn down.

By the way, as you can see from the photos on the page that Lost Memory posted, this started out as the Fort Drive-in. When Nicholas George bought it, he renamed it the Fort George.
