Silver screen coming back in Brady
BRADY, TX — Brady will soon have a local cinema again with the return of the Palace Theatre. New owners have been painstakingly renovating it back to its former glory so it can be used for movies as well as live events.

Trying times for the Portage Theater
CHICAGO, IL — The drama continues at the Portage Theater as the new owner, Erineo “Eddie” Carranza has served an eviction notice to the current occupants. When the existing management will have to leave is up for debate and the local alderman could even be holding up their acquiring a liquor license.

Shaquille O'Neal is the now the owner of the Cityplex 12
NEWARK, NJ — Basketball icon Shaquille O'Neal has moved into theater ownership in retirement. He’s taken over the Cityplex 12 in his hometown of Newark following an extensive renovation that added six screens.

Curtain may fall on classic movie house dream
WESTWOOD, NJ — The revival house hinted at two months ago may not come to fruition in Westwood after all. Supposedly holding it up is a legal threat from the Westwood Theater which is arguing that the new theatre would go against zoning regulations.

Two former AMC execs launching new initimate dine-and-view triplex
PRAIRIE VILLAGE, KS — A new theater and dining concept is coming to the Prairie Village shopping center courtesy of two former AMC executives. Standees will provide entertainment targeted towards adults, but they won’t provide in-theater dining like many of their new competitors. They’re more focused on making the two separate entities successful on their own.

CHICAGO, IL — The future for it is still unclear but the Portage Theater has a new owner. Rumors point towards the owners of the Congress Theater being involved so they can turn it into a music venue.

Former Alhambra Theater becomes Scientology center
