ArcLight expands to SD
SAN DIEGO, CA — After gradually opening more locations in the Los Angeles area, ArcLight Cinemas is creating its first venture in San Diego. The new theatre in the Westfield UTC mall will open at the end of next year.

Neptune grand re-opening
SEATTLE, WA — Even though they had what they now call a “soft opening” a few months back, there are still more celebratory engagements planned for the recently restored Neptune Theatre.The Seattle Times reports that they will have a Grand Re-opening on September 25 along with a full season of live events to showcase the venue.

NEW YORK, NY — Part gallery, part theater, Exit Art will be opening a new screening room called Digimovies to showcase digital films of all genres. The room will also be able to present a variety of cinema formats.

Hollywood struggles to get back into Indonesia
JAKARTA, INDONESIA — Thanks to its presence on the country’s negative investment list, Hollywood pictures have had a hard time finding a place lately in Indonesia. A company called Group 21 has made it difficult by placing heavy import restrictions on outside films.
