I had a friend whose car broke down in a small Colorado town and while waiting for the repairs he finds out who in town owns the old movie house and he Finds guy that owned the old theatre, gave Charles a tour inside. I can’t believe he did not take his camera.Wonder where that old Colorado Movie house was at?
I left Columbia 1 and 2 in NOV.1980.I left Georgia Square Cinemas I II III &IV on DEC 1983,dowdeyla, most theatre folks remember stuff like that.OF course you wrote this 2005,so i am probably writing to myself.
Joe find an exit door and squeeze in and explore. I do it whenever I find a theatre.I know you wrote this in 2008,so hopefully you have gone on and EXPORED.
I wonder if they are non-union projectionists. Can they get away with that in New York like they do down South in all these right to work states. Local 629.
I really don’t know Mike.I am researching out of a 1956 Motion Picture Almanac. I try and add whatever I can out of the book,And Boy does Texas have a lot of Drive-ins.
Talk show host Mike Douglas, not Kirk’s son,Michael.Just to make it clear. Can’t believe you all didn’t play it. It was a UA movie, you said you all got all the UA product.
Some great films, but these are double features, some together rated PG with an R rated film. I guess it wasn’t a double feature for the kids unless they didn’t care about 13 year old “johnny” seeing an R rated second feature.
Grand opening with “THUNDERBALL” Great opening Flick. Much better than when Loew’s in Tampa opening a major theatre with the soft-core"CANDY".
TLSLOEWS, do you have any photos or ads from the paper.Another Martin Theatre?
Sometimes you don’t have to sneak in exit doors. Charles is a cop, but was a theatre manager at National Hills along with the rest of the assistants.

I see Clint Eastwood is playing there in “FIREFOX”
Is that a “JABBERWOCKY” one sheet in front? Sure looks like it.
Was that"BUCK ROGERS" the re-cut TV show for the big screen.Just wondering.
Wrong rating on DAISY MILLER it was rated PG.Why do i catch all these mistakes.Ever look at a one sheet guys.
