I uploaded the newspaper grand opening ad as well as the flyer that was handed out. When it opened, Famous Players took over all the ads in the Peel metro station as well as many other metro stations.

In French (via Google) 14 septembre 1967 a ouvert avec deux salles de cinéma appelée Frontenac 1283 sièges et Le Dauphin avec 623 sièges par Odeon Theatres, leur première dans la région de Québec.

1976 Frontenac est divisé en deux salles de cinéma de 512 et 720 sièges

1977 repris par le Canadien Odéon que théâtres canadiens rachète Odeon Theatres.

1984 repris par Cineplex Odeon

Octobre 1986 a rouvert avec 8 salles de cinéma avec un grand cinéma et 7 petits. Denys Arcand a pris part à l'ouverture avec la projection de “Le Déclin de l'Empire Américain”

2004 est devenu une partie de Cineplex Divertissement.

2007, le Saint-Charest entrée est démantelé.

Fin 2010 Cinéma 1 est fermée en raison de la toiture qui fuit.

7 avril 2011 fermé. Québec est maintenant la plus grande ville au Canada sans un cinéma du centre-ville en première diffusion.

The ad on the left is from the Guzzo listings from La Presse in 2000 and the right is from Cneplex Odeon.

Also AMC Covina 30 is down to 17 screens. The Colossus across the way is now Canada’s largest cinema.
