Opened prior to September 1915, this was the first theatre that the B & B Theatre’s was to own. Elmer Bills took over the Lyric Theatre in 1924, and today B & B Theatres operate more than 130 screens throughout the midwest. It is the 33rd largest chain in the US including the single screen Lyric Theatre.
The front of the theatre has been updated over the years and the theatre had the best in sound and projection.
It was closed in 2009.

Looks like it closed down in 2009.
Way before the one-and-only Elmer Bills took the theater over in 1924, the Lyric Theatre was originally owned by a man simply named Mr. Bell but was taken over by a lady simply named Ms. Sproul in September 1915 following a brief renovation closure.
