Great Escape Seymour 8 opened on May 19, 1999. It was operated by Aliance Entertainment/Great Escape Theatres. This theater has eight screens, stadium seating and shows first run movies. It was last operated by Regal Entertainment Group who closed in on November 20, 2022.
In November 2024 it was taken over by Showplace Cinemas and following renovations and the installation of recliner seats, it will reopen in 2025.

This theatre is now operated by Regal Cinemas, the name should be Regal Seymour Stadium 8.
This opened on May 19th, 1999. Its grand opening ad can be found in the photo section for this cinema.
Every time I see a picture of this theater I have a hard time believing it was built in the late 90s. The sign and the arches always give me a mid-70’s vibe.

In November, 2024 this theater was acquired and reopened by Evansville, IN based Showplace Cinemas. Renovations are planned in 2025 including upgrade to recliners. New name is Showplace Seymour.
