The Eastwood Theater was opened November 12, 1941 with Randolph Scott in “Belle Starr” and Fred MacMurray in “New York Town”. It reopened as Cinema 1 on June 29, 1966 with Virginia McKenna in “Born Free”. It was later known as Buster’s Pub & Cinema. It showed its last movie in 1994.
Since then it has had a number of incarnations. It was last in operation as the Stage East Cafe featuring dance parties and live comedy shows.

Opened on 12 Nov 1941 and the architects were John and Drew Eberson.
Originally had 939 seats.
I remember the marquee of this theater: “Point Blank” with Lee Marvin….long time ago
The Stage East closed down years ago, so this should be listed as closed.
