An old red brick building that had a sunburst like pattern on the front was built in 1890 as two saloons. It was converted into the Best Theatre in 1923. The entrance was sheltered by a very unique, pressed tin, dome shaped covering that had light bulbs rather than neon. The outside ticket booth was in the center with an entrance on each side. It was closed on December 19, 1971.

After inactivity, the Best Theatre was reopened briefly in 1976 before closing with its contents untouched for ten years. In 1987, an auction house moved to the site and auctioned off the equipment and ephemera which included over 350 movie posters going back to Tom Mix and the silent era.
