Regal Wilsonville Town Center 9

Passers-by on the busy I-5 freeway can easily see the almost one-hundred-foot-high glass tower dominating the cinemas box office. At night, the bright red-blue vertical bands of neon draw attention to this widespread movie complex. Generous free parking hugs three sides of the multiplex.

The Wilsonvill 9 Theatres opened on December 20, 1996 by Act III Theatres, this place later came under the Regal Group banner offering the latest in first run movies.

Complimented with nine screens, the smallest cinema offers 91 seats while the largest one boasts 275 with a screen measuring 22' by 54'. All auditoriums offer stadium style viewing with a variety of digital and Dolby sound systems.

The lobby is spacious and wide while the lofty vaulted roof sports a bare air conditioning system of pipes and more clear glass windows. It was closed on July 20, 2023.

Having worked in cinemas and theaters since I was a teenager, I am now retired and presently usher at the Regal on a part time basis.

I should also add that the twin “T” shaped hallways, connecting from the main lobby, are also cleverly light with a concealed rainbow of Neon by each auditorium entrance.
Furthermore, the multi colored carpeting catches the lighting effect nicely while the slab stone walls help give an appearance of added height and length.

Please see my News Item of Wednesday October 29th, 2008: “Signs Go Up And So Do Prices."
As of today, there were about quite a few fascinating but oh-so-true follow-up letters.
