The Manor I & II opened on February 24, 1971 with Gig Young in “Lovers and Other Strangers” & George C. Scott in “Patton”. It had 350 seats in each of its two auditoriums, at the corner of Rock Creek Village Shopping Center. The theater, designed by architects Cohen & Haft, included a lounge, art gallery, and a private screening room in the mezzanine. The Roth Theatres built the theater. The Manor showed Chinese and Japanese movies in the early 1980s. It closed in 1986. It became a Trak-Auto store.
