Gull Drive-In

The Gull Drive-In was opened on May 19, 1949 with Larry Parks in “The Gallant Blade”. It was operated by Drive-In Theatres Inc. It was closed on September 1, 1985 with Sylvester Stallone in “Rambo: First Blood Part II” & Helen Slater in “The Legend of Billie Jean”.

It has been abandoned for more than 30 some years. The drive-in itself has a huge lot and great big green screen tower which you can’t miss from highway 371.

It doesn’t appear that this drive-in is still open.

This theatre is not open. The screen is still there, but it hasn’t shown a movie in years. Unfortunately

Goggle Earth 2012…It could be reopened with some work. It looks like most of it is still here.

  • Here’s a fun fact: “Rambo Part II” was also one of the last films screened at the nearby Brainerd Theatre a few months later.
