Luxe 8 Flix Cinema

This theatre was run by Cobb Theatres and was home to the division office for a time. It was opened December 18, 1987. It was taken over by Regal in 1997 and closed on September 23, 1999. It was taken over by SunStar Theatres on August 6 2004 was closed in 2010. It reopened on December 22, 2012 as the Luxe 8 Flix Cinema.

The Edison Park will be reopening on Dec. 22, 2012 after $1.5 million dollars in renovations, including digital projection. View article with video.

This opened on December 18th, 1987 by Cobb. Its grand opening ad can be found in the photo section for this cinema.

Does anyone remember the name of the 6 screen Theatre that Eastern Federal Theatres opened in Ft. Myers in the early 1980’s? Is so, what was the name of it and address? Whatever happened to it?

This is now called Luxe 8 Flix.

Please update, this theatre was take over by Regal Cinemas when they purchased Cobb Theatres in 1997, add to previous operators and closed on September 23, 1999. It reopened on August 6, 2004, it was purchased by Sunstar Theatres (Grand Opening ad in the photos section)
