- Feb 20, 2012 — Regency Fontana 8 reopens
Locted at the back of a shopping center, it opened in August 30, 1991 as a Mann house. Barely six months later, Edwards Theatres ran it until just before they merged with Regal & UA. Ultrastar took over and updated with 3-D equipment.
On September 2nd 2011,Regency acquired it and it became sub-run discount house, similar to some of Regency’s other theatres. In April 2013, it began playing first run movies.

On the Theater’s Facebook page they said that the theater will be a 1st run theater and with 3D Capabilities starting April 19th, The ticket prices are 5.00- 2D Matinee and 7.00- 2D Evening and 7.50-3D Matinee and 9.50- 3D Evening

This theater is currently instaling new seats. It Expected to be finished for the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens on Friday.
The new seats have been installed in all 8 auditoriums. I haven’t been to this theater since April, so i haven’t tried the new seats. The theater’s Facebook page said that they have a few more upgrades to take care of as well.
I saw Batman Forever here back in the summer of 1995 when it was Edwards Cinemas and it was a packed house. i was 13 years old then and the theater look real big to me. Recently ive gone there and its small compared to today’s large stadium mall theaters.lol
