The location shown in the picture above is 2.7 miles south of the theatre. The theatre is located near the Target Store off of Stringtown Road.
One of the screens is a Rave XTreme screen. Presentation in that room was VERY good.
This location is one of 10 going to AMC.
As of 1/18/13, this location is officially an AMC location, being listed on the AMC website. No indication yet of how the large screen at this site (formerly XTreme Screen) will be named.
As of 4/20/2013, very little has been done to re-brand this theatre. It will take a lot of work to remove RAVE from the building, as the outside shows RAVE in very large block letters and all of the side-lighting in the theatre has “Rave Theatres” name and logo.
The large room is still called the “Xtreme Screen”. THX trailer is shown, though the theatre has never been listed on the THX website.
I visited the Rave in Las Vegas which is now operated by AMC. It still is very much RAVE all over the place. I’m surprised since Carmike has already rebranded, I thought AMC would be more anxious to do so.
According to the AMC website, this site is now equipped with an Imax theatre. It is likely in the room formerly designated as a Rave XTreme screen.
Grand opening ad from November 16th, 2011 had been uploaded in the photo section for this cinema.
Love catching large format shows here. Wife always jumps when the bass kicks in during the Imax intro.
