The Pointer Drive-In was opened on March 26, 1953 with Edmund Lowe in “The Enchanted Forest”. It was operated by Wilby-Kincey. Later renamed Thunderbird Drive-In, it was operated by ABC Theatres by 1973. Prior to closing it was showing adult features. The Thunderbird Drive-In was closed in 1976.
