Ritz Theatre

The Ritz Theatre was opened on November 15, 1934 with Lionel Barrymore in “One Mans Journey” & Andy Clyde in “His Weak Moment”. Seating was listed at 700 and was operated by C&C Enterprises. Later operated by Southern Amusements. The theatre closed on March 30, 1952 and it became a church. They had moved out by 2013 when the building was ‘For Lease’. By June 2014 it had reopened as a hair dressing salon, which continued to operate in 2024.

C&C Enterprises opened the Ritz in November of 1934. Southern Amusements took on the venue. It eventually closed here on March 30, 1952. The Ritz became a church in 1954.
