This theater was originally opened as a 16 screen complex by Dickinson Theaters on July 25, 1997.
Due to intense competition from the AMC Studio 30 a few miles away, the screen count was reduced to 10 during Dickinson’s bankruptcy reorganization in 2012.
The theater was acquired by B & B Theaters in November 2014, as part of their purchase of the Dickinson theater chain.
The name is listed as Olathe Great Mall 10, and closed August 16, 2015. It was demolished in the summer of 2016.

This theatre is set to close sometime this fall if not sooner. The Mall is shutting down in the fall so all the tenants are having to relocate out.
I loved this theatre when is was new as it was one of the few stadium seating theatres in the area at the time and I enjoyed the decorative lights and lasers it had in it’s lobby. I was not a real fan of the black lights in the auditorium though during the movie.
This theater closed on August 16, 2015. The mall is closing and most of the tenants have vacated the premises.
An article by Joyce Smith in the Kansas City Star said that B&B Theaters was looking at land and developments in South Olathe for a possible new location.
The B&B website lists the theater as ‘This location is now closed. Please visit us in Overland Park.
