E.B. “Wilbur” Munson launched the new-build Belmont Theatre on July 7, 1917 with Sarah Bernhardt starring in “Mothers of France”. (An advertised July 2, 1917 grand opening was delayed due to complications.) Under new operator Howard G. Ramsey, the Belmont Theatre relaunched under its new name of the Palace Theatre on July 2, 1921 with Charles Ray in “Scrap Iron”.
The Palace Theatre converted to sound but under Fox Midwest Amusements operation, it was shuttered on March 20, 1932. It does not appear to have re-opened.

120 West Central was the address and had originally housed the IOOF Lodge. The facility’s east building was expanded to house the Belmont and Palace theaters. The building existed into the 21st Century but had been completely retrofitted for other retail purposes.
