Located in Bewdley, Worcestershire on the north side of the River Severn, adjacent to the bridge. The New Garden Cinema was opened on 12th March 1921 by owner/operator Mark Round. It had a 30ft wide proscenium, the stage was 12ft deep and there were two dressing rooms. Around 1930 it was equipped with a Classitone sound system and it was operated by B and B Cinemas of Birmingham. By 1944 it was equipped with a British Acoustic(BA) sound system and was operated by Bewdley resident J.R. Smithson. By 1953 N.H. Pointon was operating the cinema and it had a café attached. By 1958 W. Donald Casstles was the operator.
The Garden Cinema was still open in 1963, but was demolished in 1964. An office building named Bridge House now sits on the site. Being so close to the River Severn, the Garden Cinema was prone to flooding.
