The North 21 Drive-In opened its gates on May 9, 1949 with Robert Young in “Western Union”. By 1955 it was operated by T.G. Castles.
The theatre closed for the final time on September 25, 1960, and ten years later, the former site was replaced by another drive-in theatre called the Terrace Drive-In (It has its own page on Cinema Treasures).

Opened on May 9th, 1949 according to the grand opening ad (posted).
Final night of operation was September 25, 1960 with an adult triple feature (see ad in Photos)
Somehow, the final ad I just uploaded overtook the grand opening ad in the Overview. Please fix this; my apologies for any inconvenience
As I stated on the Terrace Drive-In page, the North 21 Drive-In was positioned considerably different compared to the Terrace.
While the Terrace ran north to south with the screen on the southside, the North 21 ran west to east with the screen on the east side.
I’ve rarely seen drive-in screens face into the setting sun, which must’ve caused a few issues with start times.
Anyway, the funeral home that is currently on the property sits on the far western side. Most of the property is overgrown with trees and no trace of either drive-in can be seen.
