The Terrace Drive-In was the last drive-in to be built in Columbia, as this was the former site of the North 21 Drive-In which operated from 1949 until 1960.
The Terrace Drive-In opened its gates on August 17, 1970 with Lee Marvin in “The Dirty Dozen” and Elvis Presley in “The Trouble With Girls”. The Terrace Drive-In was one out of two drive-ins to be built in Columbia that year, with the other one being the North 1 Drive-In, which was the second-to-last drive-in to be built in Columbia.
The Terrace Drive-In was short-lived, and closed for the final time in 1980.
The site of both the North 21 and Terrace Drive-Ins are now occupied by A.A. Dick’s Funeral Home.

The Terrace Drive-In sat at a different angle compared to its predecessor.
While the North 21 Drive-In had its screen facing to the southwest, the Terrace had its screen facing to the northwest.
