Located on Level 5 of Century Square, the Century Cineplex was opened on 2nd December 1995 by Prima Metra with six screens and 979 seats. As the film programming was outsourced to Shaw Organization, it has its own ticket hotline separate from the other Shaw Theatres locations. It was closed on 1st August 2017, as the mall was closing for a major revamp shortly after.
The premises was then leased to Filmgarde as its third cineplex, which opened on 3rd June 2018 together with the then reopened mall as Southeast Asia’s first cinema with AuroMax 3D sound technology in all of its halls. It was closed on 25th April 2022 as part of the cinema chain’s reorganisation plans due to the changing tastes of moviegoers.
In 2023, the vacant cinema premises was leased to Cathay Cineplexes, which opened on 21st November that year, including a Dolby Atmos hall. All halls also feature two pairs of Wave seats, which are recliner seats placed at the front of each hall seating two people.
