DOBBS FERRY, NY — This landmark property located at 39 Cedar Street is a single story, brick construction building located in downtown Dobbs Ferry. Currently there are 5 retail units/storefronts on Cedar Street, with a combined frontage of 83'. The building also features an intact theater with Roscoe-Broadway dance floor for artistic performances; live plays, music, dance, cinema etc, and was once used for vaudeville performances. An additional highlight is a fully functional, state of the art, digital recording studio frequented by musicians in the local Greenburgh district as well as major Broadway artists from neighboring New York City. The property is located just a few blocks away from the Dobbs Ferry Metro-North train station and surrounding businesses include mom-and-pop restaurants and bars, Stop & Shop and the USPS.
The theater is in use as a music conservatory at this time. The theater seats 400 but we currently have 140 seats installed for our use as a conservatory. The town has a municipal lot 1 block away.

A collection of thirty- three 1920s signed photographs of New England movie theaters are currently open for online bidding until May 20 at Philip Weiss Auctions
The group of matte mounted 11 inch by 9 inch sepia toned prints are pencil signed by Paul J. Weber adjacent to each photo. The sale also features seven unmounted, unsigned prints.
Images are of seven New England movie theaters that, judging by the visual references to the introduction of sound to movies and various movie poster displayed, date from the late 1920s. Each group of prints features a photo of the theater front plus interior views.
I have a solid business plan that can generate a profitable income within 2 years. I am willing to take a long term lease or invest a share if anyone is interested to build, to own a theater, or willing to sell the existing theater in Denver. I am willing to share details for interested parties. Please let me know soon.

NASHVILLE, TN —– The Regal Entertainment Group has decided not to reopen the Bellevue Cinema 12 and has placed the property up for sale. The theater, extensively flood-damaged in May of 2010, had been purchased by Regal last September; prior to the flood and closing Regal had leased the building. The purchase had raised hopes that the theater would reopen.
“I think there’s still a possibility for it to open once the mall is developed, but with the uncertainty it was hard for that to happen,” Crafton said. “Everybody’s affected by it, not just the customers and residents, but the the man that delivers the candy and Coke and the businesses around that theater.”
The story is in the Tennessean.
