Missmelbatoast, the drive-in theatre in Kellerberrin, Western Australia, Australia had had it’s own bus service that went the town before the movie screenings to pick up people, and drop them off at the drive-in theatre, and took them home afterwards too.
This building is now called Planet Royale(a bar, a video arcade, a pizza restaurant and a theatre(known as Royale Theatre)), it has music, live performances, cabaret, dances, stand up comedy and movies. The address is 11 Lake Street, Northbridge, Western Australia, 6003.
Taken over near the end of it’s life by Greater Union. Demolished in 2014. The site is now an office building(opened in 2015). The office building was sold in 2020 for $25.5 million dollars (Australian).
On Google Street View, there is a small metal building(Maintenance building?),(with an open door) can be seen to the right(approaching the rubble of the drive-in’s ticket booth.
Reopened on 26th March 1996 with “Babe” and “Apollo 11” planned to be closed in Late July 2023. Site planned to used for a 44 housing estate. It might be reopened on a site nearby?
