We showed this movie at the LOEWS CRESCENT. Nashville, Tennessee. It did great business ran for about 14 weeks, it was very long though, some nights on the last show everyone would leave and we would still have to show 20 minutes of credits to an empty house,Party Time.Right Mike? This movie like the war took up too much time.
Chuck 1231 I would like to know the name of the Loews in Evansville, I cannot find it,would like to learn any info about it, I have some friends who live there, I have been there a long time ago.You must have worked for LOEWS,by the posts I have read of yours,THANKS.
Looks in pretty good shape, maybe its the location that killed it?Nice looking exterior but who designed the interior pretty far out looking lobby! And i do not meant that in a good way.
Cool video hope it gets the attention it needs,it has only been closed 20 years> Look what has been done the the LOEWS JERSEY and LOEWS PARADISE.Good luck to them.
Must be the first Loews State that was named State before they took it over.I have had people ask me about the Loews State and I always have to say which one?
Mike have you ever been to Nashville? It is maybe a BIG CITY now,but it has'nt always been.Like they say the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.I remember when we only had one true skyscraper the L & C tower that was right next door to the Loews Crescent.
Mike Parking Lots have very little overhead as you know. But they do make a lot of money in the 10 to 20 years they are in business. Most of the time this money is used to start another business. I friend of mine who used to work for LOEWS, like me works for Central Parking which runs most of the parking lots and garages in Nashville believe me they make lots and lots of money.
Thanks for the information.,
Mike could you sent me a copy of your Motion Picture Almanac or tell me where to get one, interesting stuff!!!!
