1968 and 1969 were great years for Hammer films and National Hills played them.
DRACULA HAS RISEN FROM THE GRAVE. {my little sis and me sat on the first row and watched it,she still talks about it today}

TASTE THE BLOOD OF DRACULA {maybe a little more graphic nudity and violence}

FRANKENSTEIN MUST BE DESTROYED {Peter Cushing,need i say more.]

TROG {Joan Crawford’s last movie }

All these were great for a 13 year old. Today, Horror films stink.

Can’t forget WILD,WILD, PLANET. {not a Hammer film}

This being a medical city YOUNG DOCTORS IN LOVE is doing great business. It is very funny and a spoof on Soap operas. Lines are so long we have to break them between stores in the mall.

Mike Rogers commented about Pastime Movie Grill on Nov 19, 2009 at 1:52 pm

I walked in the old Pastime theatre back in the Middle 90’s seats tossed around like a hurricane came though.THe screen shot. Trash every where. One sheet frames thrown around. I did grab one of the one sheet frames and took it home figuring no one would ever care about this place.
I was told Sandersville had another theatre down the street? I am glad its back in operation ,Isn’t the KNOX theatre in Warrenton suppose to reopen like the PAL and PASTIME?

APRIL 22 1977 Now Showing THE BOD SQUAD a sof core R rated flick. Second Feature is the impressive animated HEAVY TRAFFIC that was X rated when released. SKYVIEW has the R rated version or times change and what use to be an X is an R. MIDNIGHT COWBOY would probably be PG 13 today,Shows how our standards have fallen.

When i started at National Hills i wanted to get one sheets for my collection. My cousin,worked at the JOY DRIVE IN and CAROLINA theatre in Hendersonville,N.C. so i got tons of paper from those places.Both are on CT now, At National Hills no one wanted the posters and we never returned them .I kept I guess close to a thousand with 8 by 10’s, lobby cards. Heck, I even got reel to reel radio ads. No one wanted them. I gave them a good home. The only thing i hate was when i was fired from Columbia 1 and 2 i never went back to the poster room and got my one sheets from opening day.
I could have done it cause the girl that replaced me would have let me with no problem once the city manager was gone. I heard and i wrote about it on COLUMBIA 1 and 2 that that man that replaced my old boss THREW OUT EVERY ONE SHEET. what a d-head.

At one time Augusta had the widest downtown street of any city in America. When the powers to be refigured the downtown area,planting trees and such it hurt us at the IMPERIAL and i am sure it hurt the Miller. By that time however,Two largemalls opened within a week or two and downtown died. Maybe yoy guys don’t get the kind of snow East Tenn. gets that is where most our people are from above Knoxville.
