I do not remember River run theatre being open in the 1980’s as the landings opened in 1985 and did not have a theatre as yet. i do remember River run opening in the early 90’s. I use to walk in the same field this theatre is in to get to Wards and Service Merchandise. I watched as they built this theatre.
Does anyone have any Pictures of 5-6 from the Outside?
This theatre is now gone. They tore it down last month. What for? Who Knows.
This Building is No More.River Oaks tore this theatre down Last week.
Torsten is right. If you look on Google earth in 1993. You can see the theatre building still there in front of what would become Aldi.
I Might have a Photo for ya Modanco.I have to scan it first.
Just passed this theatre the other day. Told my wife that has to be a theatre at one time.Came here and found out i was right.
This theatre started out as a One screen in 72. A second Screen was built in 75.

This Building started out as a Jewel Grocery store then opened in 1983 as movie theatre. First movie i saw was Cloak and Dagger here.
Also this was never a Kmart store. It was S.S Kresge store before becoming a 6plex Theatre.
No Paul. it still stands.
very good find.
Paul, yes this building is still there. I hope someone opens it back up soon
9&10 is actually 1&4. it did not turn into 9-10 until 1988.

I took my oldest son here to see 1408. A moment i will never forget. he loved the movie. shame the place is gated off for the time being.

The Building is still there. They just Built onto the existing building.I remember when they Put up the Office depot.
Ok got to check out the site where this was. A dumpster is now located where this Cinema once was in the basement. Quite a shame.
Notice this theater is listed as Having One screen. It did start out as 1 screen and later had another screen added. Riveroaks 1-4 closed as a two screen theater.
Well it looks like Dick’s Sporting goods took up the area where the Fox and Six West were. Thanks for the info.
Ok checked the Mall out today. The space does not exist anymore. the Hallway to enter is gone. Target tore the hallway out for their store.
Torstenadair, Thanks alot for the info! I have myself been trying to find a photo of this Cinema. When you say Eyemasters. Was Eyemasters right by Yonkers?
Found out this little Cinema was open until 1986 and was part of a Family fun center at Crossroads.
