Hello, have seveal pictures of usheretts promo shots in the 1930’s Loew’s Theater in Rochester, NY. One is of the outside with the marquee clearly read. On one of your pages however it looks like you already have more than you need. Let me know if anyone is interested in seeing them. My aunt worked there 1929-1939. BettyB

Patrick: My schedule is a bit flexible. I may be able to donate an hour or two a week. How may I be of service?

I’ve been involved with the theatres since the stone-age and I’m on here nearly every day – let me know if there is anything I can do…

I would love to help if I can. I am an avid fan of movie theaters. One of the highlights of my year is the annual Los Angeles Conservancy’s Last Remaining Seats program. In addition I volunteered for their Broadway Theaters tour. On the technical side, I was an editor of wire stores for a legal newspaper and I have taught essay writing and grammar.

I have been an avid filmgoer, and reader of film criticism for a LONG time. I just recently discovered this great website, and have contributed only a few things to the poll question area.(Just typed in a lengthy reminiscence of the 3 Penny in Chicago, where I lived during the 70s and early 80s, but I clicked wrong, and it seemed to disappear!) I am at the beginning stages of setting up a distinctive multi-media blog, featuring all kinds of things others don’t offer. I have some very
opinionated views on what constitutes good cinema and what doesn’t. I would be very interested in hearing more about what you want out of a contributor/editor. I live in NE New Jersey about 20 miles from Manhattan. Let’s hear from you with more specifics. Thanks.

My background in journalism, plus my natural born talents as a writer, not to mention my fourteen years as a movie theatre manager, just might qualify me for what you’re looking for. If so, let me know, and let’s go to work! I have the time to spare!

Blame the computer for these repeats, please, and get rid of two of them. Thanks!

It appears that many theatres have been deleted from this site in the last few days. I can no longer find any in my hometown of Somerville, MA, nor any in Ohio.

I’m an editor, photographer and art director. I have many photos of theater marquees I’ve taken across the U.S. Let me know if you need assistance, or if I’m too late to participate.

About three weeks ago, I submitted the Star Theatre in Somerville, MA, but it hasn’t been put on the site yet.

Two problems have developed in the last day: 1)-I get directed to the home page when I paste in an alert re recent comments for theaters 4040, 4622, and 4623. 2)– My favorites no longer show theater icons, but rather the identifying numbers such as 4040, 4624, 903. The numbers are not active links.

It’s not clear who you need for what. Ihave all the expertise necessary if you can let me know, roughly, your requirements and other pertinent details. I am free to donate some time to this, what I consider, admirable endeavor. I have years' experience working in the technical end of the movie business around Hollywood. I also have studied (as a hobby of sorts) movie theater architecture and architects such as B. Marcus Pritica (Pantages' Theaters); and S. Charles Lee (Theaters Allover). Since I first entered the Hollywood Pantages in 1944, as as an eleven-year-old, I have been totally enthralled with movie houses of every kind and description.
I might be able to lend some aid to your group.
