I think it was a dirty shame, that the Kenosha city council was so hell bent on demolishing the historic Roosevelt Theater building, when there are occupied commercial buildings with in walking distance of the Roosevelt, that are in MUCH WORSE CONDITION!!! Has the city of Kenosha inspection dept. ever took a look at that roofing supply company & recycling center, just around the corner from the Roosevelt? Now THAT truely is an UNSAFE EYESORE!!!

As of 10/18 the front of the building is torn down but the auditorium is intact and open to the elements. I took many pictures of it on that day and shot a 16mm roll of black and white film as well. There are a few pictures here and I will be posting more once I edit them all. I made buttons in March that said "Save the Roosevelt Theatre" so it's sad to see it go. The saddest part for me is that I never got to go inside the theatre until its face was torn off.
