This article mentions that "The Republic on Main Street (currently the Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre Playhouse)". The Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre has an address of 143 Compromise Street. Could the article be incorrect?

LM, with relatives in Annapolis (Hilsmere Shores) I am fortunately a little familiar with Annapolis, Main St. ends at the circle at the harbor and it becomes Compromise St. The theatre is on the corner of Main, Compromise and Market Place. Compromise ends on the other side of the draw bridge so it is a short street.

Chuck....If the article is correct, this theater is open and should be listed as the Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre at 143 Compromise Street.

The Summer Theatre is open each summer, it is a summer stock theatre. All live performances. They should be doing their auditions and choices by mid February. It should be listed as open. The shows themselves are put on outdoors right next to the theatre not inside the former Republic Theatre.

Okay, I get it. Do they use the building for storage?

Storage, scenery, props, rehersals and such.
