The Hong Kong Science Museum is situated in Tsimshatsui East on the Kowloon side of Hong Kong, and its official opening date is 18th April, 1991. The Science Museum is a special design four-storey building, with the 295-seat Lecture Hall on the first floor of the building. According to its website, the Lecture Hall is for lectures, conferences, film shows, recitals and other community functions. It is equipped with stage lightning, sound system, slide and film projection equipment with large cinema screen. The Lecture Hall is one of the venues of the Hong Kong International Film Festival.
