The Gem Tehatre located at 2325 Corunna opened in 1937 and closed in 1953, it seated 398. There was also a Gem Theatre at 213 S. Saganaw from 1910 thru 1925. The Gem Theatre on Corunna is now the American Dance and Fitness and is housed in the former auditorium and a lawyers office is housed in the stage area.
