Actually, The Vickers Theatre has had five names in its 100 year history, originally known as; The Fairyland, then for many years, The Lee Theater (at least by 1939), and for short periods (late70’s,early 80’s, sometimes closed), The Family Theater, The Oak Theater and finally (1996) the Vickers Theatre. The theater now seats 126.
Thanks for your website, BillLindblom, Managing Partner, Vickers Theatre

Charles….I knew that this theater had a different name when it opened but I couldn’t find what that name was. After reading your message, I did some research and you are correct. This theater was called the Oak Theatre. Thanks for your help!

It didn’t get the name of Vickers until it was reopened in 1996 being named after the new owners.

Lostmemory, isn’t this the same as the Oak Theatre, they both have the same address, I am assuming that the Oak was the orginal name.
