The Kuhn Theater, built in the 1930’s, has been renovated and reopened December 2005, with everything restored or recreated. The Art Deco theme has been preserved. The marquee looks better than before. Inside, there are new curtains, carpet, seating, and revamped lighting and restrooms. Film projection and sound have been improved, and now there’s DTS digital sound. There’s a new HVAC heating and air conditioning system, new electrical wiring and even a brand new suspended (acoustical) ceiling.
The Kuhn Cinema shows first run mainstream movies, including as many blockbusters as possible.

All, Please help us keep the Kuhn Theater open. Due to the movie industry converting to digital, we need to purchase a new projector. We only have 26 days remaining to come up with $35,000 to help save our small home town theater. Please help by clicking on the link below.

Are you sure you’ve got the right picture? I was in a store in the lobby of the theatre shown in this photo several years ago and that building was slated for the wrecking ball. The Kuhn is actually several blocks west.
The building shown is actually the Park theatre on Sherman Street and is probably demolished by now.
I updated the Google street view to show the correct location.
To the right of the Kuhn where the archway is is the Gem Theatre, the first movie theatre Lebanon had. It’s used for live performances now. I hope the Kuhn owner can replace the plastic in their marquee. The yellow plastic makes it look trashy.
