The Rita was next door to the Frels Uptown Theatre, and ran as a second run house for Long Theatres after the El Rancho Theatre was built across the square.
This theatre and the Frels Uptown were both purchased by First Victoria National Bank, and were demolished to allow for the bank to expand to include all of the 100 block of West Constitution Street.
