A music store occupies the lobby and auditorium of the Embassy (later Pickwick) Theatre. The vertical sign frame and marquee are still there as well. There are some seats in the auditorium that were added for a film series that was shown in the theater a few years back.
There is a room that was built in the front half of the auditorium that is used as a recording studio—-this room also encompasses the former stage. The projection booth is used as a teaching room for music lessons.
Much of the plaster work in the auditorium has been refurbished.

I am very much interested in converting a theater into a live Puppet Production Theater. I have been looking for a theater that needs to fill their seats and get the community involved with this venue.
Please advise if this Theater is willing to take on the challenge.

Saw it today on a bike ride and it was night when I arrived. Great to see it and the front left outside is an office/studio, middle is a gift shop and the entrance to the store is cool. When I saw the storage, it reminded me of the Strand in Hackettstown, NJ that has a piano store in the theatre, but not as cool as this one. They let me snap pics. When I asked the owner about the touchups, he was reluctant until I told him I contribute to 2 “theatre preservation sites” and he said, “Oh, CinemaTreasures?” Then he said they touched everything up and the studio on stage has the proscenium covered by sheet rock and the original decoration is still preserved. Really cool place, esp the metal marquee.

The name of the music store is Stolen Moments, but the address is 39 Cedar and yet you and CinemaTour have 32 Cedar Street.

This landmark property located at 39 Cedar Street is a single story, brick construction building located in downtown Dobbs Ferry. Currently there are 5 retail units/storefronts on Cedar Street, with a combined frontage of 83â€\. The building also features an intact theater with Roscoe-Broadway dance floor for artistic performances; live plays, music, dance, cinema etc, and was once used for vaudeville performances. An additional highlight is a fully functional, state of the art, digital recording studio frequented by musicians in the local Greenburgh district as well as major Broadway artists from neighboring New York City. The property is located just a few blocks away from the Dobbs Ferry Metro-North train station and surrounding businesses include mom-and-pop restaurants and bars, Stop & Shop and the USPS.

The theater is in use as a music conservatory at this time. The theater seats 400 but we currently have 140 seats installed for our use as a conservatory. The town has a municipal lot 1 block away. Dobbs Ferry is an affluent town close to Manhattan and has a blue ribbon school district. The town appreciates and supports the arts and entertainment. A cinema cafe or foreign film venue would go over very well.

For sale or lease.
