The opening date I found for the Center Theater was October of 1947. The movie playing was “Cross My Heart” with Betty Hutton. The Center Theater closed in August of 1967.

According to GoogleMaps and recent drive by, there is no building at this site. Probably demolished.
Update: I did a more thorough search and found that the Center Theater building does still stand. The address of 2313 Triana Blvd SW is incorrect though and 2380 Triana Blvd.

I’ll try to arrange a visit and ask about the old theater.
I drive by the old Center Theater every morning. I would love a tour of the place. I’ll go bay and take some pictures.
If you look at the Google map, it’s the large building to the right. The name of the company located in this building is “Servpro”. The address for that company is 2315 Triana Boulevard SW.
