The Madison theatre referred to in the article must be the Caribe.
This theatre is prominently mentioned as both the Municipal and Madison in a two-page 1946 trade article about Spanish-language cinemas in the USA: boxofficemagazine
Listed in the 1953 Film Daily Yearbook as an Ansell theatre, a chain that runs Spanish language theatres.
It is listed as the New Madison Theatre in the American Motion Picture Directory 1914-1915. Still the New Madison Theatre with 440 seats in the Film Daily Yearbook; 1926 edition. Same in the 1930 F.D.Y. with seating given as 528.
It’s the Municipal Theatre with 512 seats in the 1941 edition of F.D.Y., 540 seats in 1943 and 600 seats in 1950.
No listing in the 1957 Film Daily Yearbook.
I was going to add this theater when I added the Caribe Theater back in June but I couldn’t find any evidence of it being a movie theater. Here is the photo that I had previously found for the Paraiso Theater:

And this is the caption that went with the photo:
“The Paraiso Theater at 1714-18 Madison Avenue in East Harlem, May 9, 1955. This was part of th 12-acre site cleared to build the 1962 Senator Robert A. Taft Houses between East 112th and East 115th Streets, Park and Fifth Avenues”.
