Capitol Theatre

The Capitol, located on Main Street at Fourth Street in Waterloo, is listed in the 1945 Film Daily Yearbook as being open with seating for 250. Today, the former movie house is home to the Monroe Actors Stage Company, and operates as a legitimate playhouse. Any further information on the Capitol would be appreciated.

The year given for this photo is 1997.

Theatre opened in March, 1926 with the opening film being “The Dancer of Paris.”
