On this page from the West Frankfort Public Library’s website, there is a photo of a Strand Park. I wonder if this was built on the site of the Strand? Can anyone verify?
Not sure if this link will work right since its an Ebay link and they change often. There is a 1945 postcard of Main St for sale showing the Strand theater. Also, I believe there were two theaters operating in West Frankfort, IL in the 1940’s. One is the Strand and the other was the State theater.

According to this suit, Fox Midwest Amusements owned the Strand and the Roxy in West Frankfort in the mid fifties:

I believe that the post card in the header was of the original Strand Theatre that was destroyed by fire. There was a larger Strand built in its place that LostMemory links to the photo.
