The Lyric Theatre is located in the Rosebank district of Staten Island. The first reference I have found for the Lyric Theatre is in the the 1927 edition of Film Daily Yearbook which lists it, but gives no seating capacity (usually this means it has just opened and no details have been passed on the F.D.Y.).

In the 1930 edition of F.D.Y. it has a seating capacity given as 350. By 1941 it has disappeared from listings.

The small single storey building still stands and in 2003 was in use as a retail/wholesale store known as Island Electronics. This business has since closed.

I believe 523 Tompkins Avenue now maps as Hylan Boulevard.
